Technique
About
Zenon Evans is an artist based in Chicago. He works in oil and acrylic across several parallel bodies of work, some of them straightforward painting from observation, others built on a system — a grid, a piped line, an eyedropper, a fixed isometric angle.
The subjects move between Orthodox icons and classical sculpture, street scenes from Delhi and Varanasi, church interiors in Tbilisi, and the flat interior world of offices, screens and software. A separate strand of kinetic assemblages is built from salvaged electronics.
